"Drawn From The Desert" art show/benefit SHOW DATE: September 24, 2011 through October 31, 2011 Opening Reception is Saturday, Sept. 24 6pm-9pm Sponsored by: Sun Runner Magazine & Glitter Bitches Handmade At Tamma's Magic Mercantile 55727 29 Palms Hwy Yucca Valley, CA Announcing "Drawn From The Desert" benefiting local Morongo Basin artist Kim Mayhew of Ant Farm Studio (www.got-ants.com), home of the Ant Farm Gang and her signature "Loco Folko" art. Kim recently underwent uterine cancer surgery and treatment with minimal insurance and the art community is rallying to help someone who has given so much over the years. Your donations will help her with both existing and future medical costs related to this diagnosis. Artists are invited to submit 2D or 3D original works of art either depicting or inspired by the desert. * Size limit is 16"x20" for 2D pieces and 18"x18" for 3D pieces (please note, a limited number of 3D pieces will be accepted) * Please price your piece(s) to sell (under $150.00: $25-$100 is the best price range). All art must be ready to hang with wire *100% donations are encouraged, but there is a 25% minimum donation on all sold pieces (12.5% is gallery commission) Original pieces must be delivered to Tamma's Magic Mercantile September 22nd or 23rd between 10am-5pm.
